Selfie Seek

For little robots & their grown-ups

Our privacy promise

Plain words. No hidden gears.

A grown-up holds the key

Only a parent or guardian creates an account. We use the parent’s email for sign-in, confirmation, and password recovery. Kids do not have email accounts or passwords here.

Little nicknames, not real names

Kid profiles store a nickname and a robot avatar, linked privately to the parent account. Please use made-up names. We do not ask for a child’s real name, age, email, phone number, school, or address.

Private rooms and game photos

Only signed-in families who join with your private code can see your room. They see robot nicknames, avatars, roles and game photos, never parent emails. The camera only works after a parent turns it on in the grown-up area. Photos are taken live in the app (never from the gallery). A face check runs only on the phone to make sure a face is in the picture; it never recognises who anyone is and no face data is kept. Game photos are visible only to players in that room and are deleted automatically 24 hours after the game ends. We do not collect location. Sound and notifications are optional.

Only your family’s workshop

Saved profiles are private to your parent account. A parent PIN protects changes to profiles and family settings. PINs are stored as one-way hashes, not readable numbers. Nicknames are checked for unkind language; no filter catches everything.

No ads. No shopping. No strangers.

Selfie Seek has no ads, in-app purchases, public kid profiles, or outside links. We do not sell family data or use it for advertising. Account services and secure hosting process data to run the app. Necessary session storage keeps you signed in; hosting may keep security and error logs.

You can clear the workshop

A parent can remove any kid profile, change family rules, or use “Delete all data” in the PIN-protected grown-up corner to delete Selfie Seek profiles, settings, and the parent account. Hosting backups and security logs may remain for the provider’s retention period.

Questions or requests

Parents can ask to see, change or delete their family’s data at any time. Write to privacy@xcampgrounds.com. You can also delete everything yourself in the grown-up area. This page describes child-friendly privacy practices; it is not a claim of COPPA certification.
